Video Editing
Lauren Fourcade Editing Reel
OU School of Fine Arts
Throughout my time at Gaylord Hall Productions, I edited several promotional videos for the OU School of Fine Arts. In 2019, I sifted through dozens of hours of archived footage and put together The Weitzenhoffer School of Fine Arts, a promotional video that reflected on their shows performed during 2019 and the experiences of the actors and dancers. It won a BEA Award of Excellence and also won 2nd place in the promotional video category in the 2019 OBEA Student Competition. Another video I edited for their play The Golden Cockerel was featured on The University of Oklahoma's Facebook page.
Oklahoma Healthcare Authority
The videos I edited for the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority remain some of my favorite projects to this day. Each video tells a story about the impact of Soonercare in Oklahoma, and it was so fun and inspiring to listen to the stories of each of these people and organize them into short profile videos.
OU Construction Science Program
We at GHP wanted to create roof safety videos for the OU Construction Science program that were both informative and visually entertaining. I was responsible for editing, graphics, and recording voiceovers. There are English and Spanish versions for each video.
Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition
My time with Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition has been a blast, and I've been able to shoot and edit several videos for them that highlight art and artists in Oklahoma. At times it has been challenging because of limited equipment and being a one-woman crew, but I've tackled the projects nevertheless and have made many videos that I am proud of.
Illinois Emergency Management Agency
Right before the world shut down in March 2019, GHP was approached by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency to produce a series of emergency COVID-19 statewide PSAs. The deadline was "ASAP," so we said "challenge accepted!" In the span of 3 sleepless days, we shot and edited a 30-second PSA. At the same time, we edited three videos the client provided to us - this included keying in a new spokesperson and modifying existing motion graphics to fit the target audience. My role in this project was leading the editing team and assisting on the shoots.
Class Projects
Whenever I was in a group for a class project, I was always the one to say "I'll edit!" Here's a look at some of those projects.
CASS
Gaylord Hall Productions produced several videos for the Center for Autonomous Sensing and Sampling (CASS). CASS gathers data from the atmosphere, and one way they do this is by manufacturing custom drones! I had the chance to gather footage and edit a video that highlighted all of their impressive tech.
